Well March 19th has finally arrived and that means my lifeshift has officially commenced. My pack weighs 27.5 lbs and inside I carry my life possessions which must carry me through for the next 60 days. First stop Athens, where I will spend 6 days exploring the historical majesty of Classical Greece, as well as several landmarks of the Greco-Persian War from 490-479 BC. Then it’s off to the island of Crete, where I will base camp in Sougia while exploring ancient trails and antiquities on the Western side of the island. Finally, I will journey to Spain, following the path of the pilgrim on the ancient Camino Route to Santiago de Compostella. Grab my hand (virtually that is) and come along for the journey.
As I depart let me just extend my deepest love and gratitude to all my kids, and most especially my wife Amy who are with me every step of the way!
